A flat course that is not easy

Tough Mudder Manchester is an obstacle weekend at the Cheshire County Showground in Knutsford on 4 and 5 September 2027.

Two courses run on both days: the 15K with more than 20 obstacles and the 5K with more than 12. Both are made for teams, and the obstacles reward helping each other more than raw speed.

The showground sits on flat Cheshire farmland. No hills means no hiding from the obstacles, and the organiser points out that the mud has nowhere to drain, so the flat ground turns into a long grind on the 15K.

It is a good choice for a first Tough Mudder for people who would rather avoid big climbs, and for groups mixing experienced Mudders with newcomers. Kids by Spartan offers courses of 1, 3 and 5 km for ages 4 to 14, so families can make a day of it.

Finishers receive the 2027 Hex System medal, a shirt, the orange headband and a drink at the line. Spectator tickets are sold for supporters who want to watch.
