Sussex clay and pine forest

Tough Mudder London South is an obstacle weekend at Holmbush Farm in Faygate, West Sussex, on 18 and 19 September 2027.

The 15K course has more than 20 obstacles and the 5K has more than 12, and both run on Saturday and Sunday. As at every Tough Mudder, the focus is on teamwork, with obstacles that need a push or a hand from someone else.

The course covers part of more than 2,500 acres of working countryside in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, through ancient pine forest, deep rutted tracks and steep natural valley ridges. It sits on heavy Sussex clay, which turns into a deep mud bath, and into mud slides after rain.

It suits teams from London and the south east looking for a late season challenge, and anyone who wants a muddy day out without racing for a place. Many participants fundraise for a UK charity of their choice.

Finishers receive the 2027 Hex System medal, a shirt, the orange headband and a finish line drink. Kids by Spartan offers short obstacle courses for ages 4 to 14, and supporters can buy a Mudder Village pass.
