Four distances from Otepää to the finish near Elva

The Tartu Rattamaraton is the autumn bike marathon of Klubi Tartu Maraton, ridden from the Tehvandi Sport Centre in Otepää to a finish near Elva.

The 30th Tartu Bike Marathon is on Saturday 18 September 2027. On Friday 17 September the race centre opens at the Lõunakeskus shopping mall in Tartu from 10:00 to 20:00 for start packs and registration. The 29th edition in 2026 was won by Lukas Malezsewski and Tiffany Cromwell.

There are four distances, and all of them finish at the Tartumaa Tervisespordikeskus near Elva. The 123 km starts at 9:00 from Tehvandi in Otepää, the 21 km at 10:00 from the Palu feeding station, the 83 km at 11:00 and the 39 km at 14:30, both again from Tehvandi. The first 21 km riders are expected at around 10:45 and the finish closes at 20:00.

The event is part of the UCI Gravel World Series and the fourth stage of the Tartu Maraton Klassik. Riders on the 123 km are ranked by age group in the series, and anyone who would rather ride without that can start in the Open group. On the shorter distances you pick your start wave by expected finish time. Any type of bicycle is allowed, but not an e-bike, and the organiser asks everyone to leave aero bars at home.

The 123 km is open to riders born in 2010 or earlier, the 83 km to those born in 2012 or earlier and the two short distances to riders born in 2015 or earlier. The entry includes a marked course, luggage transport from the start to the finish, service at the feeding points, soup at the catering tent, washing facilities and a finisher's medal. Friends and family who come to watch will find every rider at the same finish near Elva.
