Spartan Verbier, live.

A mountain Trifecta in Valais

Spartan Verbier is an obstacle race weekend in the mountain resort of Verbier in the Swiss canton of Valais on 4 and 5 September 2027.

Saturday 4 September is the Beast, 21 km with 30 obstacles. Sunday 5 September is the Super, 10 km with 25 obstacles, and the Sprint, 5 km with 20 obstacles, runs on both days. The race centre is at the Centre Sportif on the Chemin de Plan Pra.

Verbier is a high alpine resort, so the courses climb and descend on mountain terrain. The distances look short on paper but take longer than on flat ground, and early September weather in the mountains can change quickly.

Completing a Sprint, a Super and a Beast earns the Trifecta, and Verbier is a Trifecta weekend where all three can be done over two days. The Sprint is the natural first Spartan, while the Beast suits people with obstacle racing behind them.

Spartan lets you build your own team at registration and race with friends, family or colleagues, and volunteers get free entry to a race.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry on the course. That dot is the person's own sharing, not the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
