Fields, woods and a creek twelve feet wide

Spartan Nashville is an obstacle race weekend on a farm in Lebanon, Tennessee, about 35 minutes from downtown Nashville.

The 2026 event weekend is on October 3 and 4 at Neal Farms, 1000 Murphy Lane, Lebanon. Spartan describes the venue as rolling fields and dense woods, with a creek twelve feet wide to get across. There are three adult races: the Super, 10 km with 25 obstacles, on Saturday only, and the Sprint, 5 km with 20 obstacles, on both Saturday and Sunday. A Kids Race of 1 to 3 km runs both days, and a 4-hour Hurricane Heat takes place on Saturday.

Spartan pitches the Sprint at new Spartans. Its signature obstacles, as the race page lists them, include the rope climb with a bell at the top, the Atlas Carry, the sandbag carry, the Hercules Hoist, the spear throw and walls of four to eight feet, finishing over the fire jump. Racers who want the same start time as their friends need to buy their tickets as a team. The Super adds five kilometres and five obstacles to that.

At an obstacle race the clock is a poor guide: a slow rope climb or a long carry costs minutes that no pace chart predicts, and most of the course is out of sight in the woods. On Livebib the racer shares a link to their own broadcast. Family at the festival area open it in a browser, no app needed, and see position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes, so they know when to be at the fire jump. Anything estimated is marked as estimated.
