Leblon to Flamengo along the beaches

The Meia Maratona Internacional do Rio de Janeiro runs from Leblon along the city's beaches to the Aterro do Flamengo.

The 29th Meia Maratona Internacional do Rio de Janeiro takes place on Sunday 15 August 2027. The organiser, Yescom, offers three distances: the half marathon over 21.097 km, a 10K and a 5K.

The half marathon starts in Leblon at the corner of Avenida Delfim Moreira and Rua Cupertino Durão and follows the seafront along Avenida Atlântica in Copacabana and Avenida das Nações Unidas in Botafogo. It finishes on Avenida Infante Dom Henrique on the Aterro do Flamengo, between Praça Paris and the Monumento aos Pracinhas. The 10K and 5K start on the Aterro near the former Hotel Glória and share the same finish.

The first start is at 06:00, and the organiser publishes the full schedule of waves in the race rules. Bag buses wait near the starts from 05:00 and carry the half marathon bags to the finish. Kit collection happens at an expo before race day, and there is no pick up on the day itself.

Much of the half follows the seafront, so this is a race with the ocean beside you for many kilometres, and the 5K and 10K suit people who want a shorter morning. Supporters can watch along the beaches of Copacabana or wait at the finish on the Aterro.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot on the map is only as good as that phone and its signal. Official results and splits come from the organiser.
