It is short on the map and steep in the profile: 2,400 m of climbing in 33 km. Right after the start the organiser describes a climb of about 1,400 m above the Tavignanu valley, facing the Monte Rotondo range. The course passes the Scandulaghju arch, the Tavignanu river and the Padule sheepfolds, crosses Bocca Canaglia at 1,790 m, and drops on a technical descent to the Sega refuge at 1,100 m.

There are two aid stations on the way: Aleri at km 13 and Alzu at km 20.5, with hot food, before the long descent back to Corte. The finish runs through the old town and past the citadel. The organiser’s timing table expects the fastest back around 08:40 and the last before the limit in mid-afternoon.
