Portland Half Marathon
This page belongs to the 2026 Portland Half Marathon. The course follows the marathon through downtown, loops Chinatown and returns to Naito Parkway by Davis Street, then heads south under the Portland Aerial Tram and along Macadam through South Portland to the Sellwood Bridge. On the east side it runs Sellwood Boulevard, Bybee Boulevard and Reedway Street to Milwaukie Avenue, north through Brooklyn and along the Eastbank Esplanade, and back over the Burnside Bridge to the same finish at Taylor Street and Naito Parkway.
There are ten aid stations, one every mile from mile 2.5, with electrolyte drink, water, toilets and medical staff. Pacers run seven groups from 1:30 to 2:30 in ten-minute steps. The organiser lists the course limit as 6 hours 33 minutes, counted from the last starter. The half crosses the river twice, by the Sellwood and the Burnside bridges, and runs the same final mile as the marathon, through Old Town past the White Stag sign.
The organiser suggests spectators watch at NW Couch and Naito at mile 1, then cross to the Hawthorne Bridge sidewalk for mile 11 before the finish. On Livebib the runner shares a link to their own broadcast; family open it in a browser, no account needed, and see the position on the course line, distance covered and an updating finish estimate, so they know when to be at the bridge.
