Portland Marathon 10K

This page belongs to the 2026 Portland Marathon 10K. It shares the first miles of the marathon: through downtown and Old Town, out to NW 23rd Avenue and back through the Pearl District. Instead of crossing the river it rejoins Broadway, winds through Old Town and turns onto Naito Parkway for an out-and-back along the waterfront before the finish at Taylor Street and Naito, in Waterfront Park.

There are two aid stations, at miles 3 and 5. The time limit is 1 hour 33 minutes at a 15:00-per-mile pace, counted from the last starter. Start and finish lie at 36 ft above sea level, and the route as the organiser describes it has no bridge crossing: it is the downtown, Northwest and waterfront part of the marathon on its own. It suits a runner who wants the start line and the streets of the marathon morning on a distance measured in minutes rather than hours.

Because the 10K starts with the marathon, a family can follow both from the same spot on Naito Parkway. On Livebib each runner shares a link to their own broadcast, which opens in a browser with no app and shows the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Anything estimated is marked as estimated.
