Course & challenge

Calango Infernal 24K

Calango is a town in the low Andes of Lima, in the province of Cañete, known for steep hills and a heat that does not forgive. The terrain is arid hills, extreme slopes and dry earth up to 900 m, with a descent that asks for everything a runner has left. The organiser has not yet published the start time or the climbing for the 24K.

The long distances are for runners over 18 who train in the hills and want to race for real and score championship points. Mandatory kit is the bib, an ID document, an emergency blanket of at least 100 by 200 cm, a phone with credit and battery, one litre of water and a windbreaker, since the aid points hand out no cups or bottles. Poles are not allowed in the first 2 km. Runners must be at the start line 30 minutes before their gun, and nobody may start more than 10 minutes late.

This page covers the Calango Infernal 24K 2027. On Livebib, family and friends see the runner’s position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. If the phone loses its signal in the hills, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated.
