The green lomas of Asia, south of Lima

The third round of the 2026/2027 Perú Trail Series, on Sunday 14 March 2027 in the Lomas de Asia, two hours from Lima. Four races and a 2 km kids’ run, and for many runners, the organiser says, the most beautiful round of the season.

The starts are an hour apart, longest first. The 30K (1,930 m of climbing) goes at 05:00, the 21K (1,498 m) at 06:00, the 13K (990 m) at 07:00 and the 8K (542 m) at 08:00, and the kids’ 2 km run, for ages 5 to 13, follows at 10:00. The organiser publishes each distance as a range and says lengths vary with each venue’s trails. It is the last qualifying round before the Grand Final in Paracas.

The Lomas de Asia are a green oasis on Lima’s desert coast. From July to November the sea fog covers them in flowers and plants, and in March they are still alive, with green slopes, wetlands and dirt trails up to 800 m that the organiser calls the most photogenic of the season. The organiser promises a well marked route, well stocked aid points, a type 2 ambulance, rescue staff at the critical points and an emergency number on every bib, and says it waits for the last runner. Every runner carries their own container, because the aid points hand out no cups or bottles. Buses from Lima can be booked, opening a month before the race.

On Livebib the runner shares a link with whoever they choose. Family and friends open it in a browser, no app or account needed, and see the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. When the signal drops, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated instead of freezing.
