Military style obstacles where the coast meets Lade

Navy Race Trondheim is a military inspired obstacle race over 8 km and 30 obstacles in the Lade area, where the coastline meets the land, on Saturday 22 May 2027.

Navy Race mixes land and water challenges with a military theme. In Trondheim the course takes you over climbing walls, through crawls in the sand and out wading in the water, with 30 obstacles spread over 8 km. If there is an obstacle you cannot or do not want to do, there is always an alternative exercise.

There are three adult classes on the same course. Ordinær is for everyone, Elite is for those who want to race the best, and S.E.A.L. is for those who carry a weight vest the whole way round. Navy Race Kids gives children aged 4 to 13 their own course, and adults may run beside them.

The day starts with a pre-race bootcamp that warms everyone up and breaks the ice. The organisers' Never leave a man behind crew is out on the course to make sure every participant reaches the finish, which is why Navy Race works so well for teams, companies and groups of friends who sign up together.

The arena has a speaker, music, food and drink, and the course runs close to the spectators, so supporters can see a good part of the race without walking far.

On Livebib, a participant can choose to share their own live position from the phone they carry, so friends can follow along on the map. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Navy Race.
