Twenty obstacles inside Akershus Fortress

Navy Race Oslo takes a military style obstacle race through the historic walls of Akershus Fortress in the heart of Oslo on Saturday 5 June 2027.

Old walls, cobblestones and steep ramparts make the fortress a different kind of arena. Over 5 km and 20 obstacles the course takes you through some of the best known parts of Akershus, climbing the walls, crawling through narrow passages and handling raw physical challenges on hilly ground. If an obstacle is beyond you, there is always an alternative exercise.

There are three adult classes. Ordinær is for everyone, Elite is for those who want to race the best, and S.E.A.L. is for those who carry a weight vest the whole way. The course is designed to be demanding but doable for anyone who turns up with motivation, effort and a bit of nerve.

Every race begins with a pre-race bootcamp to warm up and break the ice, and the organisers' Never leave a man behind crew makes sure nobody is left alone on the course. Navy Race is built for teams, so companies, families and groups of friends can sign up together, cheer each other on and help each other through.

The organiser describes Oslo as one of its most spectator friendly venues, close to the start and finish and with obstacles in plain view, and recommends public transport for getting there.

On Livebib, a participant can choose to share their own live position from the phone they carry, so friends can follow along on the map. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Navy Race.
