Marcona Wind Trail 65K

Runners gather at Playa Los Leones at 06:30 and start twenty minutes later, ten minutes ahead of the 42K. There are two time barriers: km 21 at 11:00, four hours and ten minutes in, and km 45 at 15:00, after eight hours and ten minutes. Five hydration points stand on the course with a sixth at the finish, and four control points check every runner: the start, two on the way and the finish.

The course runs on the shoreline where the coast allows and above the beach, over sand, earth and rock, past rock formations shaped like animals and up to the dunes and the wind turbines. The organiser makes a headlamp with charged batteries mandatory on the 65K, along with a hydration system, since the hydration points hand out no cups. The 65K is ITRA certified and gives ITRA points.
