Sonoma County roads from the Windsor Town Green

Levi's GranFondo is a Bike Monkey production in Sonoma County, California, with routes from a short family ride to the 119 mile Growler, all from the Windsor Town Green.

The next edition is on Saturday 24 April 2027, with the weekend running from 23 to 24 April. The Windsor Town Green, in the middle of the town of Windsor, is the start and finish and also hosts packet pickup, the Friday expo and the post-ride festival.

The organiser offers a route for every level. The current rider guide lists the Piccolo at 33 miles with 1,400 ft of climbing through wine country, vineyards and gently rolling hills, with one aid station. The Medio covers 63 miles and 4,800 ft, returns to the Pacific Ocean and climbs Coleman Valley Road, with three aid stations. The Gran is 85 miles with 8,300 ft, two significant climbs and views of the Pacific from Meyers Grade, with five aid stations. The Growler is 119 miles with 12,700 ft, descends to Stewarts Point and climbs the dirt road of Kruse Ranch, with seven aid stations. A free Family Fondo of 8 flat miles loops through Windsor.

The Growler is also the course of the Elite Growler Road Race, which is broadcast live. Everyone else rides the same roads on open traffic, so the guide asks riders to follow a strict center line rule at all times. Time trial bars are not allowed.

The festival on the Town Green is free and open to the public, with live race coverage on the day and an awards ceremony in the afternoon, so friends and family can follow the action without riding.
