Les 3 Ballons Chef de File, live.

From Ronchamp over the Vosges to La Planche des Belles Filles

Les 3 Ballons Chef de File is a sportive in the southern Vosges that starts in Ronchamp and finishes at the top of La Planche des Belles Filles.

The 2027 edition is on Saturday 5 June, and every route finishes at the summit of La Planche des Belles Filles, a climb the organiser describes as a regular Tour de France finish with sections steeper than 15% near the top. Bib collection and the village are at La Filature in Ronchamp on Friday 4 June from 10:00 to 19:00.

There are three routes from the Esplanade du Stade in Ronchamp. The Granfondo covers 181 km and 4,020 m of climbing with 4 feed stations and starts at 7:00. The Mediofondo covers 93 km and 2,200 m with 2 feed stations and starts 25 minutes later, at 7:25. The organiser shows the 2026 courses as a guide for the 2027 routes.

On the 2026 Granfondo course the climbs included the Ballon de Servance, the Col d'Oderen, the Markstein, the Grand Ballon and the Ballon d'Alsace before the final ramp. The 2026 Mediofondo took in the Ballon de Servance and the Ballon d'Alsace. Time barriers are set at Le Thillot at 9:20 and Plancher les Mines at 17:45.

The Ultra 4 Ballons starts at 5:00 and covers 240 km and 5,700 m. It follows the Granfondo but adds the Petit Ballon, so riders link every Ballon in one day. It is ridden as a randonnée without a ranking, for well prepared cyclists who want the challenge of finishing. At the summit the pasta party opens from 12:00 and prizes are given at 15:00.

On Livebib you can follow a cyclist who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
