The Kitakyushu Marathon is the February city marathon of Kitakyushu, at the northern tip of Kyushu.

Kitakyushu Marathon 2027 is on Sunday 21 February 2027. It is organised by Kitakyushu City and the Kitakyushu Athletics Association. The marathon, the pair relay and the 20.7 km race all start at 9:00 in front of Kitakyushu City Hall and finish in front of the Kitakyushu International Conference Center, on a course certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and AIMS.

The marathon has 10,800 places and a 6 hour limit from the gun, and is open to people born on or before 1 April 2008 who can finish inside 5 hours 40 minutes. The route runs through the Tobata and Kokura districts and out to the Mojiko rotary, and near the second turning point the Kanmon Bridge comes into view. The 20.7 km race is for women only, with 250 places and a 3 hour limit.

The pair relay suits two friends who want to share the distance. 250 pairs run the marathon course and swap near the West Japan General Exhibition Center, with a first leg of about 20.4 km and a second of about 21.8 km. A separate fun run at 10:00 offers 1.5, 3 and 5 km without timing, and wheelchair users can take part over 1.5 km.

Bib collection for the main races is on Saturday 20 February at the Kitakyushu Messe expo venue. Roads across the city close on race morning, so check the organiser's traffic information before you set out to watch.
