A full distance by Randsfjorden

Jevnaker Triathlon is a full distance, half distance and supersprint triathlon in Jevnaker by Randsfjorden on Sunday 29 August 2027.

The race is run by local triathlete Rune Narheim and his team, and Rune himself has completed several long distance triathlons over the years. Their aim is an international event at a price most triathletes can afford, and 2027 is billed as version 2.0 of the race, with age group, youth and a separate professional class.

The swim is at Randsfjord Badepark. The full distance swims two laps of 1900 m with an Australian exit, so family and friends on the beach see everyone between laps, while the half distance swims one lap and the supersprint 375 m. The full distance bike is 180 km in two laps of 90 km on rolling roads along Randsfjorden in both directions, past historic buildings. The run takes the full distance four laps through Jevnaker for 42.2 km, the half distance two laps for 21.1 km, and the supersprint 2.5 km, with the finish in the centre.

The organisers invite athletes to make the full distance their personal goal for 2027, and it can also be raced as a team of three, with one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner. The half distance is 1900 m, 90 km and 21.1 km, and the supersprint, 375 m, 10 km and 2.5 km, is a short way into the sport. There is also a children's triathlon.

Every run lap passes along the main street within sight of the finish area, which gives spectators many chances to cheer and keeps the athletes close to the local crowd.
