A multisport weekend in Anne Boleyn's childhood home
The Hever Castle Triathlon and Multisport Festival fills the grounds of Hever Castle in Kent on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September 2027.
The Castle Race Series brings triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swimming and running to the award winning grounds of Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Athletes and spectators share a festival village with live music, shopping, food and drink, children's entertainment and yoga. The September weekend also hosts the series' biggest junior triathlon for 9 to 16 year olds.
Sunday has the long triathlons: the Gauntlet, a 1.9K swim, 90K bike and 21K run, and the Olympic at 1.5K, 40K and 10.5K. Saturday has the Sprint Plus at 800M, 40K and 8K, the Sprint at 750M, 20K and 5K, the Super Sprint at 400M, 20K and 4K, and the Starter at 200M, 12K and 2.5K. Most triathlons can also be raced as a relay team.
Duathletes choose the Middle (10.5K, 90K, 10.5K) or Standard (10.5K, 40K, 4.2K) on Sunday, or the Sprint (5K, 20K, 2.5K) on Saturday. The Sunday Standard Aquabike, 1.5K swim and 40K bike, is a qualifier for the 2027 World Championship, and there are sprint and standard aquathlons too. Runners have a Sunday marathon, half marathon and 10K, and swimmers a Saturday 5K, 2.5K and 1 mile in the Swim Series.
Wave times are emailed about two weeks before. Triathlon and multisport athletes should reach the holding area 1 hour 15 minutes before their start, swim and run entrants 30 minutes before, and everyone should allow a 10 minute walk from the car park. It is a British Triathlon permitted event, so you need British Triathlon membership or a day pass. Every finisher gets a medal and podium presentations are held for all races.
