From Cali to Lago Calima

GFNY Cali is a gran fondo in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, part of the GFNY series, with a long route that climbs to Lago Calima.

The 2027 edition is on Sunday 25 July. Both routes start and finish on Avenida Sexta in Cali, beside the Centro Comercial Chipichape.

The long route covers 160.8 kilometres with 1,653 metres of climbing, and the medium route 74.5 kilometres with 455 metres. The two routes ride together until kilometre 38, where they split. The long route then climbs from Mediacanoa to Lago Calima, 11 kilometres and 693 metres of ascent, topping out at 1,611 metres.

The medium route is a fine first gran fondo for cyclists who ride regularly, with little climbing. The long route asks for real endurance, since the main climb comes after the split and there is plenty of distance still to ride after it.

Avenida Sexta by Chipichape is the place for family and friends, at the start and again at the finish. Check the organiser's information for start times and road closures in the city.
