Matsuyama to Hojo and back to Shiroyama Park

The Ehime Marathon is Matsuyama's long running February marathon, and the 2027 race is the 64th.

The 64th Ehime Marathon is on Sunday 7 February 2027 and starts at 10:00, held in rain. A start ceremony begins at 9:20 at Shiroyama Park. The course is certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations, World Athletics and AIMS.

The route starts in front of the Ehime Prefectural Office in Matsuyama, heads north past Hojo Bunka no Mori Park to a turning point and comes back to finish in Shiroyama Park. The time limit is 6 hours from the gun.

Ten checkpoints keep the field moving, from the Kita Kanjo entrance crossing at 5.9 km, which closes at 11:05, to Honmachi 7-chome at 40.5 km, which closes at 15:47. Officials also stop runners at three timed points where roads must reopen: Honmachi 3-chome at 2.5 km around 10:40, Fuchu crossing at 28.6 km around 14:12 and Ogawa crossing at 32.1 km around 14:41. Anyone running close to the limit should study the checkpoint times before race day.

As a single race there is one start, one finish and a clear plan for supporters: see the field leave the Prefectural Office, then walk to Shiroyama Park for the finish.
