A middle distance weekend at the Hrádek lake

CZECHMAN is a triathlon weekend at the Hrádek lake by Dolany and Staré Ždánice in eastern Bohemia.

CZECHMAN Triatlon 2027 is on Saturday 12 June 2027, the main race of a weekend that runs from 11 to 13 June. The venue is the Hrádek lake by Dolany and Staré Ždánice. The 2027 main race is sold out, and the organiser keeps a waiting list.

The distances are 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21 km run. The swim is one lap of the lake, where the water is usually around 18 to 20 degrees. The bike course is two laps of 45 km on gently rolling roads that are only partly closed, and drafting is not allowed. The run is three laps of 7 km around the lake on a flat course, mostly on asphalt. The cut offs are 1:15 for the swim, 5:00 for swim and bike and 7:30 for the whole race.

The field is limited to 800 starters. There is a PRO category with prize money and PTO points. On Sunday 13 June the CZECHMAN SHORT covers 0.6 km swim, 26 km bike on fully closed roads and 6 km run, with a limit of 2 hours. On Friday 11 June there is a 1.9 km open water swim race, and relays and a family race complete the weekend.

Race numbers for the main race are handed out on Friday from 17:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday from 8:00 to 10:00. The laps make the race easy to follow for supporters, who see athletes several times on the run around the lake.

On Livebib you can follow an athlete who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the organiser.
