Buriram Marathon, live.

A night race from the circuit to the football stadium

The Buriram Marathon is a Saturday evening race in Thailand's northeast, and its 11th edition is on 23 January 2027.

The Buriram Marathon 2027 is held on the evening of Saturday 23 January 2027, its 11th year. The race starts at the Chang International Circuit, the motor racing track outside Buriram, and finishes at Chang Arena, the city's football stadium. The theme for this edition is Beat the Night, Run the Light, and the organiser plans light, colour and sound along the route.

There are four distances: the marathon of 42.195 km, the half marathon of 21.1 km, a 10 km mini marathon and a fun run of 4.554 km. The organiser runs the event to World Athletics road race standards, so times can be used to qualify for other races.

The event is organised by Buriram United International Circuit. Places for 2027 opened first at an on site registration in Bangkok in July 2026 and then online. Under its Local to Global idea the organiser has sent Thai runners to the Tokyo Marathon, and a bottle collection and recycling scheme runs at the event.

The organiser describes the people of Buriram, from supporters to volunteers, as a big part of the event, and they line the route through the city at night. Spectators can also gather at Chang Arena for the finish. The 2028 edition is already set for Saturday 22 January 2028.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
