Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok, live.

Through Bangkok's old city to Sanam Luang

The Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok is the capital's big running weekend, with 48,000 participants across four distances.

The ninth edition is on 28 and 29 November 2026. The half marathon goes on Saturday, starting at 4:00 at the MBK Center and finishing at Sanam Luang. On Sunday the marathon starts at 2:00, the 10 km at 6:00 and the 4.5 km at 6:45, all at Sanam Luang.

Sanam Luang is the open ground beside the Grand Palace in the historic heart of the city, so participants pass some of Bangkok's best known sights. The organisers expect more than 80,000 spectators along the way.

The very early starts are there to beat the heat. Even at night Bangkok is warm and humid, so drinking at every station and a conservative pace are the keys to a good marathon here.

Spectators should plan for road closures in the old city on both mornings. The area around Sanam Luang is the main place to watch the starts and finishes.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok.
