173 km from the coast to the mountains
Bergen-Voss is a 173 km road ride from central Bergen over Kvamskogen and along the Hardangerfjord to Voss, organised by Bergen Cykleklubb since 1977.
The 2027 ride is on Saturday 5 June. The start is at Moxy Bergen in Solheimsgaten and the finish is at Voss after 173 km and about 2,100 m of climbing. More than 1,000 cyclists take part, and Bergen CK has run the event since 1977.
The route leaves Bergen via Fjøsanger and Fritz Riebers vei to Midttun at 11 km and Os at 35 km. From Os it goes via Rolvsvågen, a route first used in 2026, up to Kvamskogen at 85 km. The steep and winding descent to Norheimsund passes through dark tunnels and is a neutralised timeout zone, ridden in single file without overtaking. The road then follows the Hardangerfjord, narrow and twisting, to Kvanndal at 140 km before the final run to Voss.
Much of the route is open to traffic, and many riders are new to large groups on the road, so the organiser asks everyone to ride at most two abreast, keep well to the right and avoid overtaking in Lønningdalen. Start numbers can be collected on the Thursday and Friday before at Intersport Lagunen, and trains and buses run back from Voss.
The finish is at Voss station, and hotels and other places to stay are available in Voss for riders who want to stay the night.
On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Bergen-Voss.
