Belvoir Castle Triathlon and Multisport Festival, live.

A family multisport weekend below the castle above the Vale

The Belvoir Castle Triathlon and Multisport Festival runs on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 July 2027 on the Belvoir estate in Leicestershire.

Belvoir Castle crowns an isolated hill above the Vale of Belvoir, and from the North Terrace the view runs across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. The name means beautiful view in French and is pronounced beaver. The Castle Race Series sets a family friendly weekend festival on the estate, with triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swimming and running.

Sunday's triathlons are the Gauntlet, a 1.9K swim, 90K bike and 21K run, and the Olympic at 1.5K, 45K and 10.5K. Saturday has the Sprint Plus (800M, 40K, 8K), the Sprint (750M, 20K, 5K), the Super Sprint (400M, 20K, 4K) and the Starter (200M, 12K, 2.5K), plus junior triathlons for 9 to 16 year olds.

Duathletes choose the Middle (10.5K, 90K, 10.5K) or Standard (10.5K, 45K, 5K) on Sunday, or the Sprint (5K, 20K, 2.5K) on Saturday. There are standard and sprint aquabikes and aquathlons, a Sunday marathon, half marathon and 10K, and Saturday swims of 5K, 2.5K and 1 mile, so a whole family or club can race across the two days.

The organiser stresses that published timings are approximate. Wave times are emailed about two weeks before, triathlon and multisport athletes should arrive 1 hour 15 minutes before their start, and swim and run entrants no later than 30 minutes before. Most triathlons offer relay entries for teams of friends.

On Livebib you can follow an athlete live when they choose to share their own position from the phone they carry. That position comes from the participant, not from the organiser's timing, and official results are published by the Castle Race Series.
