A mountain triathlon on the Capcir plateau

Altriman is a mountain triathlon in the French Pyrenees, with a mass start swim in Lac de Matemale and a finish at the Espace Angléo in Les Angles.

The 19th edition takes place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July 2027. Every format starts with a mass start in Lac de Matemale, and the finishes are inside the Espace Angléo in Les Angles, where the triathlon fair and the Altriman village are set up.

The Altriman Full starts on Saturday at 5:30 with a 3.8 km swim in two loops of 1,900 m, followed by 193 km of cycling with close to 5,000 m of climbing across three departments, the Aude, the Ariège and the Pyrénées-Orientales, including the Col de Pailhères, and a 42 km run at altitude around the Capcir plateau on road and trail. The clock stops at 1:30 on Sunday morning. The Half starts on Saturday at 8:30 with 1.9 km of swimming, 102 km and 2,126 m on the bike and a 21 km run.

Sunday belongs to the shorter races. The Olympic starts at 8:00 with 1.5 km of swimming, 45.9 km and 1,061 m on the bike and a 10 km run, and the Sprint starts at 9:00 with 750 m, 20.7 km and 5.28 km. The organisers present the event as a race against yourself rather than against others, so the Full is for experienced long distance triathletes, while the Sprint and Olympic are a way in for anyone curious about racing in the mountains.

Supporters can watch the start on the shore of Lac de Matemale and use the Les Angles shuttle buses between the village and the lake area. The organisers ask them not to drive up the Col de Creu, for the riders' safety.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
