Allgäu Triathlon, live.

Germany's oldest triathlon of its kind

The Allgäu Triathlon is raced at Bühl am Alpsee in the Allgäu, Germany, with all three distances on Sunday 22 August 2027.

The race has been held since 1983 and calls itself the oldest of its kind in Germany. It is organised by 808project, and the weekend from 20 to 22 August also brings races of the First Triathlon Bundesliga to the Alpsee.

All races start and finish at Bühl am Alpsee. The Classic covers 1.9 km of swimming, 92 km on the bike and 20 km of running, and it can also be raced as a relay. The Olympic distance, the Olymp, is 1.5 km, 46 km and 10 km, and the sprint is 0.5 km, 29 km and 5 km. The Classic has cut-offs of 1:25 for the swim, 5:50 after the bike and 9:05 at the finish.

Places are hard to get. Half of the places on each distance went on a first come basis when entry opened on 7 October 2026, and the other half were drawn by lottery. If the Alpsee is too cold or unsafe, below 14 degrees for example, the race is held as a duathlon or bike and run instead.

The weekend starts on Friday 20 August with registration and race pack collection. Saturday 21 August brings the Allgäu Triathlon Expo, the pasta party with the race briefing and bike check-in, and Sunday 22 August is race day.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry during the race. That is the athlete's own sharing and not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
