Valencia's January 10 km on the Paseo de la Alameda

The 19th 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun runs on Sunday 10 January 2027, with the 5th 5K Valencia Ibercaja earlier the same morning, both on an urban course from the Paseo de la Alameda.

The race is organised by the C Atletismo 10K Valencia and is on the World Athletics international calendar with a Label, as well as the Spanish federation's national calendar. For the third year in a row all 16,000 bibs sold out, more than three months before race day, after doing so for the 2025 and 2026 editions as well.

The 10K starts at 09:30 on a certified 10 km course that is entirely urban and on asphalt, with start and finish on the Paseo de la Alameda. It is open to anyone aged 18 or over on race day, federated or not. People without a federation licence pay a day licence with their entry.

The 5K starts at 08:15 from the same place, with participants placed by expected time. It is capped at 2,500 and has a limit of 40 minutes from each person's start, and it is also open from age 18. Neither race allows runners accompanied by children, pets, skates or bikes. 5K entrants can buy a commemorative medal engraved with name and time when entering, and a voluntary donation goes to the Spanish cancer association in Valencia.

Coming on the second weekend of the year, the race draws thousands of amateur runners and hundreds of elite athletes, so the Paseo de la Alameda is busy from early morning. Supporters can see both starts and finishes there.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot moves only as well as that phone and its signal. Official results come from the organiser of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja.
