A new obstacle run at the race track

The XLETIX Challenge Nürburgring is a new team obstacle run in the hills around the Nürburgring in the Eifel, over 6, 12 or 18 km.

The 2027 edition on Saturday 25 September is the first XLETIX event at the Nürburgring and closes the season. The start is in the well known Müllenbachschleife, and from there the course heads into hilly country with demanding climbs and varied ground.

Every XLETIX Challenge has three distances. FUN covers 6 km and 15 obstacles and is open from age 14. ADVENTURE covers 12 km and 25 obstacles, and X-TREME covers 18 km and 35 obstacles, both from age 16.

With plenty of elevation, the organiser's guide times here are about 1 hour 5 minutes for FUN, 2 hours 40 minutes for ADVENTURE and 3 hours 55 minutes for X-TREME. Camping is available through the Camping am Nürburgring operator, not through XLETIX, so book it directly if you want to stay the night.

The motto is one team, one goal. XLETIX is built for running with friends, colleagues or family and helping each other through mud, water and walls rather than racing alone. Volunteers who help with set-up, take-down or on the day can start for free, and the organiser's photo partner Sportograf takes action photos of every participant on the course and at the finish.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live if they choose to share their own position from the phone they carry. That position comes from the participant, not from the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
