Wild NextGen Crans-Montana
It is the youth race of the event, run as the Memorial Bernard Mayencourt, on the same course as the Wild 10 but with its own start a quarter of an hour earlier. Two kilometres of tarmac lead to a steep, easy path up to Vermala, across the finish slope of the World Cup downhill twice, and through the pastures to Merbé, the highest point. The descent goes via Plan-Mayens and three rolling kilometres back to Crans-Montana, round the Lac Grenon and past the Ycoor pond to the finish.
Entry is free, under-16s need a parental attestation, and adults may not run alongside. Results are given overall and in three age groups: Rookies 10-12, Espoirs 13-15 and Juniors 16-17. Merbé is a drinks-only aid station reachable by cable car. The limit is four hours, and the mandatory kit list is published separately by the organiser.
This page belongs to the 2026 Wild NextGen. A young runner on a mountain course without a parent beside them is exactly when a family wants to see where they are. On Livebib the family shares a link to the runner’s broadcast and decides who gets it. It opens in a browser, with no app or account, and shows the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate. If the signal drops on the climb, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated.
