Wild 110 Crans-Montana

The organiser calls it the queen race, and it is the only long course that is a full loop. It leaves Valais by night through the alpine pastures above Crans-Montana to Leukerbad, crosses the federal wildlife reserve there with headlamps dimmed and pointed at the ground, and climbs the Gemmi pass at 2,268 metres into the canton of Bern. From Kandersteg it runs on to Adelboden and Lenk, up to the Wildstrubel hut at 2,800 metres, back into Valais over the Rawyl at 2,427 metres, past the Tseuzier lake and along the Bisse du Ro to the finish.

Crews may help at five places, one person per runner: Leukerbad, Kandersteg, Adelboden, Lenk and the Tseuzier dam. Supporters can cheer without helping at the Varenalp, the Gemmi, Ueschine, Sillerebüel, Iffigenalp and the Wildstrubel hut. The 30-hour limit, with no intermediate cutoffs on the race page, puts the last finishers in on Sunday morning. It is a Western States qualifier and gives four Running Stones.

This page belongs to the 2026 Wild 110. A night start, a mountain range and a Lötschberg rail tunnel that closes at night make it hard for anyone to follow on the ground. On Livebib the runner shares a link to their own broadcast. Crew and family see the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate in any browser. When the phone loses signal at the Gemmi or under the Wildstrubel, the position is carried forward along the course and marked estimated, not frozen and never shown as measured.
