Inca Marathon 10K

The organiser has not published a start time. The 10K is the gentlest of the three distances, with only 120 m of climbing and a high point of about 2,300 m, and it ends at the same finish as the marathon and half marathon, in Machu Picchu village, Aguas Calientes. It is a way for a companion or a runner new to trails to race inside the same trip.

Like the longer races, it sits inside Wildmarathon’s all-inclusive programme, with a day of acclimatisation trekking in the Salkantay valley the day before and a night in the valley. The lower slopes here are humid rainforest, and the finish can reach 25 °C. After the race the programme goes on to Machu Picchu itself the next day.
