The Great World Race Miami Marathon, South Beach

The seventh and final marathon finishes the week at South Beach, Miami. The course is six loops that begin on Ocean Drive and run along the Beachwalk, past the oceanfront hotels and Art Deco facades. The organiser expects family and friends to gather here to cheer the runners home at the end of their journey around the world.

Every marathon of The Great World Race is a race of its own with a time limit of 8 hours, which the race director may change on location. The organiser says each course is measured by AIMS or World Athletics measurers and sanctioned by the national federation, with aid stations, medical support and official timing as at any stand alone marathon. A half marathon option exists for runners who prefer the shorter distance.

This page covers the Miami marathon of The Great World Race 2027. On Livebib, family and friends at home can follow a runner's position on the course, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes on. If the phone loses its signal, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated.
