Seven mountain bike routes from Bad Goisern

The Salzkammergut Trophy is a mountain bike marathon in Bad Goisern, with seven routes that range from a short loop to a 201.9 km extreme distance through the Salzkammergut.

The 2027 edition is on 17 July, and registration is already open. The event is based in Bad Goisern, and the routes run on public roads, forest roads and bike paths through the lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut.

Route A is the extreme distance of 201.9 km with 7,020 m of climbing, about 62 percent on gravel and 13 percent on trail. Route B covers 119.6 km and 3,521 m, Route C 74.7 km and 2,183 m, Route D 57.7 km and 2,114 m, Route E 54.9 km and 1,719 m, Route F 37.3 km and 1,044 m, and Route G 21.8 km and 567 m. Route D is the most technical of them, and in 2026 young riders took the day on Route G.

With this spread the Trophy works for very different riders, from people doing their first marathon on the G or F route to experienced endurance riders on the extreme distance, where the 2026 winners needed just under nine hours and about eleven and a half hours. The organiser also runs a gravel marathon on the same weekend.

The courses are signed and open for training from early July, with some sections only open on race weekend. The course maps mark the aid stations and the assistance and spectator points along the way, and a printed map is available at the info stand by the primary school during the Trophy weekend.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Salzkammergut Trophy.
