Run in Lyon Half Marathon

The half shared its start with the marathon and went off in eight corrals by target time, the first at 08:15 and the last, for 2 h 10 and beyond, at 09:31. Pacers ran for 1 h 35 to 2 h 10. On the organiser’s map the course goes north up the Saône, past Vaise and L’Île Barbe, to the turn at Pont Paul Bocuse in Collonges-au-Mont-d’Or around km 8.

It comes back down the other bank through Caluire to Les Subs around km 15, crosses the Presqu’île by Place des Terreaux, goes over Pont Morand and makes a short loop on the Rhône’s left bank by Place du Maréchal Lyautey, then runs down the Berges du Rhône to the Pont de la Guillotière around km 20 and back to Place Bellecour. The chip had a timing point at 10 km; aid came every 5 km, filled into the runner’s own container.

This page covers the 2026 half marathon. With waves an hour and a quarter apart, the start time on the clock says little about where a particular runner is. On Livebib, family see the runner’s position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as they go. Where the phone loses signal, the position is carried forward and marked as estimated.
