Two laps through the town of Rhodes

The TUI Rhodes Marathon is a spring road running event in the town of Rhodes, first held in 2014.

The 12th TUI Rhodes Marathon is on Sunday 18 April 2027. The race has been held since 2014 and had 4,500 entries in 2025. It is approved by SEGAS and AIMS, and registration closes on 7 April 2027.

The marathon of 42.195 km starts at 07:30 from Plateia Eleftherias in the centre of Rhodes and is made up of two half marathon laps. Each lap goes along Akti Sachtouri and Australias street to the new ring road of Rhodes, then back past the Eleftherias Gate, the mills and Mandraki marina to the centre. The time limit is six hours. The half marathon of 21.097 km also starts at 07:30 and has a limit of three hours.

The 10 km starts at 07:20 and finishes at Plateia Eleftherias. Later in the morning the 5 km leaves at 11:50 from Plateia Rimini, by the Sound and Light show, goes along Akti Sachtouri and Australias street and finishes in the centre. There is also a 5 km walk and a 600 m race for children, so the day works for families.

The organiser describes a seaside course through the history of Rhodes, from the Classical to the Italian era. Because the marathon is two laps, the centre around Plateia Eleftherias is a good place to see participants pass more than once.
