From the garrison town to Bardufoss
Reistadløpet is a point-to-point classic ski race in Troms, from Setermoen to Bardufoss, and it opens the last weekend of the Ski Classics Pro Tour.
The 2027 edition is on Saturday 3 April, the first day of the Pro Tour’s final weekend, with Summit2Senja (60 km) following on Sunday 4 April. The women start at 10:00 and the men at 11:00, Norwegian time. The race goes back to what Ski Classics calls its original distance of 35 kilometres, after a 46-kilometre edition last time, which Astrid Øyre Slind won in 1:48:14.0 and Johan Hoel in 1:33:35.1. The 2026 race was held on 28 March.
The start is at Setermoen, which Ski Classics describes as Norway’s oldest military garrison town, and the finish is at Bardufoss, where the organiser, Reistadløpet AS, has its address. Ski Classics describes the course as steep mountain terrain and calls it one of the toughest on the circuit, a race that asks for climbing strength in classic technique and has often shaped the overall standings. The organiser’s own tag for it is #PureArcticMadness.
Because the race runs one way between two towns, the people waiting in Bardufoss cannot see the skiers until the last stretch. A Livebib broadcast shared by the skier fills that gap: it opens in a browser, with no account and no app, and shows the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Where the phone loses signal between Setermoen and Bardufoss, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated instead of freezing. The skier decides who gets the link.
