Medio Maratón Puerto Vallarta, live.

Second edition on a new route

The Medio Maratón Puerto Vallarta is a half marathon and 5 km road race in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, on the Pacific coast of Mexico.

The second edition runs on Sunday 6 December 2026. Both distances start at the Centro Internacional de Convenciones de Puerto Vallarta, the 21 km at 06:00 and the 5 km at 06:30.

The organiser has drawn a new route for this edition and lists AIMS and World Athletics with the race. The early start helps participants run in the cooler part of the morning on the coast.

The half marathon suits people who have trained for the distance and want a road race in a holiday setting, and the 5 km is open to families, friends and those who are just starting out. Doing the 5 km while a partner runs the half is an easy way to share the morning.

Friends and family can gather at the convention centre, where both races start. Check the organiser's programme for the finish area and kit collection before race day.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live when that person chooses to share their own position from the phone they carry during the race. The dot on the map comes from the participant's phone, not from the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
