A road race that finishes in front of the grandstand

Norgesløpet is a flat-out road race in Jessheim with two distances, one start street and one finish: the athletics stadium.

The race is run on Sunday 4 October 2026. The 5 km starts at 11:00 and the 10 km at 12:00, both on Kanalveien, which is closed to traffic for the start, and both finish at Jessheim friidrettstadion. Bibs are collected at Jessheim Is- og Flerbrukshall, and red-and-white tape leads runners from the stadium and the hall to the start line. The organiser is Løpebyen Jessheim, run from Ullensaker/Kisa friidrett.

The course in the organiser’s race information is a fast town loop. About 900 metres in, it passes the roundabout by Rema 1000 and continues onto a footpath, with large fixed stone blocks along its left edge. Runners pass the stadium’s parking entrance early, about 200 metres from the start, and come back to that same point before the four-kilometre mark. The 10 km adds a lap near the stadium at about five kilometres, where its only drink station stands with water and sports drink. Headphones are not allowed, and breaking that rule risks disqualification.

For family and friends this is a race to watch from the stadium grandstand, which sees the lap and the finish. Livebib adds the part in between: the runner shares a link to their own broadcast, and whoever has it opens it in a browser, no account and no app needed. It shows the runner’s position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes, so the stand knows when to look up. Anything estimated is marked as estimated, never shown as measured, and the runner decides who gets the link.
