MUT Lite by UTMB

It is the last start of the MUT weekend and the shortest course. The organiser describes it as an active run of about 12 km on the lower slopes of the Outeniqua Mountains and invites runners to bring the family, while warning that it is still a tough route: 312 metres of climbing over under twelve kilometres is real trail, not a park run.

The 5-hour limit leaves room to walk the climbs. The organiser publishes a course map and GPX on the race page. Aid stations are not yet listed. It starts an hour after the MUT Challenge on the same Sunday morning, while some of the Miler field may still be on the course.

If more than one person in a family is out on the trail that morning, everyone else needs to know who is where. On Livebib each runner shares a link to their own broadcast, opened in a browser with no app or account: their place on the line, distance done and a finish estimate that updates as they go. A position carried through a gap in signal is marked estimated, never measured, and the runner decides who sees it.
