Five lakes of the Salzkammergut in one ride

The Mondsee 5-Seen Radmarathon is a road cycling marathon from the lakeside in Mondsee, with three routes past Mondsee, Attersee, Wolfgangsee, Hallstätter See and Fuschlsee.

The 2027 weekend is on 19 and 20 June, with the marathon itself on Sunday 20 June and a Kids Day for up to 150 children on the Saturday. The event village sits by the lake around the famous basilica, and the start and finish are in the middle of the Seeallee. About 2,500 riders from more than 40 nations take part each year.

Tour A is 200 km with 2,600 m of climbing and starts at 6:30. Tour B is 140 km with 1,400 m and starts at 7:00, and Tour C covers 75 km with 400 m from 8:00. A handbike race over 25 km starts at 7:30. Riders on each route must pass intermediate cut-offs, and the finish closes for every route at 15:30.

Two fast descents are neutralised for safety, the Postalm descent on Tour A and the Lichtenberg descent on Tours A and B. Each has a minimum and a maximum time, and riders outside them are disqualified. Start blocks are seeded from results of the last three years, and timing is net chip time except for the leading group.

The roads are not closed during the event, so riders follow the normal traffic rules, and private support vehicles are not allowed on course.

On Livebib you can follow a cyclist who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
