This page belongs to the 2026 edition of the 21 km, which the organiser lists as sold out. The first group started at 21:15 at Ringvägen 26, with later groups five minutes apart, and the finish was at Hornsgatan 57. The distance is a full 21,097.5 metres, and entry asked that runners be able to finish within 2 hours 20 minutes, to keep the flow on a course shared with thousands of others.

For the first 6.8 km the 21 km runners are alone on the 10 km course. From there they run together with the 5 km field until 9.8 km, where six signs twenty metres apart announce the left turn onto Timmermansgatan. After it they are on their own again until they reach Ringvägen. The organiser calls the course relatively hilly, and our catalogue has 213 metres of climbing. An extra fluid station for the 21 km stands on Södra allén. Runners had to reach Timmermansgatan by 23:07. Later arrivals were sent straight to the finish after 10 km.

A turn-off, a cutoff and a second half run largely apart from the crowd make it the distance where followers most want to know which side of Timmermansgatan their runner is on.
