Midnattsloppet 21 km
Doubling the challenge of the classic 10K, the 21-kilometre half marathon takes runners on two full loops of Södermalm’s undulating street circuit. Tackling 213 metres of cumulative elevation gain, competitors face the punishing climb up Sofia Kyrkbacke twice, testing their endurance against the steep gradient while soaking in the carnival atmosphere and cheering crowds surrounding Sofia Church and Vitabergsparken.
Navigating from twilight into the midnight hours, runners experience the electric energy of southern Stockholm at peak intensity before finishing on Hornsgatan.
