Midnattsloppet 10 km

This page belongs to the 2026 edition of the 10 km, the distance with the most start groups and the team competition. The first start group left Ringvägen 26 at 21:15, alongside the first 21 km runners, and the groups behind it followed at five-minute intervals, each runner placed by expected finish time. Before the start everyone gathered at the Runners’ Corner at Zinkensdamms IP.

The course is ten kilometres of asphalt around Södermalm, with 103 metres of climbing in our catalogue, not a fast flat road, but no mountain either. The organiser lists two water stations on the 10 km, one of them shared with the 5 km course, with toilets at both and at the start and finish. The rules give a maximum time of 90 minutes counted from the last start group, with the rope pulled at the 5 km timing point at 00:02.

The 10 km is also the team distance, so a single evening can have a whole office spread across several start groups. A runner who shares their Livebib link lets family and friends follow in a browser, without an account or an app: position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate for Hornsgatan that updates as the race goes and is marked as an estimate. The runner decides who gets the link.
