The Lorne Pier to Pub is a 1.2 km ocean swim along the beach at Lorne, from the pier to the surf club in front of the Lorne Pub.

The Lorne Pier to Pub is one of the largest ocean swims in the world, with more than 5,000 participants. The 2027 edition is on Saturday 9 January, and entries open on Monday 2 November 2026.

Swimmers start at the Lorne Pier and swim 1.2 km to the finish at the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club, just in front of the Lorne Pub. The field goes off in waves, and the organiser publishes the wave times separately.

The swim carries the name of its sponsor, as the Powercor Lorne Pier to Pub. The surf club also organises the Mountain to Surf run, and entries for the 2027 Pier to Pub and the Mountain to Surf open at the same time.

The event is organised by the volunteers of the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club and is the club's major fundraiser. The money raised goes to the club and its programs.
