Flat asphalt, then the swimming hall

A small autumn road run in Loimaa, run by the local junior chamber, where every route is flat asphalt and the entry includes a swim.

Loimaan Lenkki was run on Saturday 3 October 2026 from Viljavarastontie 4 in Loimaa. It is organised by JCI Loimaa, the town’s junior chamber of commerce, and the organiser describes it as a cheerful family event for competitive runners and casual ones alike. The 2025 edition, which the organiser calls a strong start, had 65 runners, and the stated aim is to make it a tradition.

There are four distances. The short ones, 1.2 and 2.4 km, start together at 12:30 and are free; after the joint start the 1.2 km loop can also be walked at your own pace, with family exercise and nature tasks along it. The 5.2 km and 10.2 km start at 13:00. The organiser’s description of every route is the same: smooth, flat asphalt roads. Late entry is on site from 11:00 to 12:15.

Afterwards runners get a free pass to the Vesihovi swimming hall, and the sauna at Toimistohotelli stays warm until 17:00. For relatives who are not at the start, a runner can share a link to their own Livebib broadcast: it opens in a browser, no account or app needed, and shows the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Anything estimated is marked as estimated, and the runner decides who gets the link.
