Julita Loppet, live.

Along Munkleden by Lake Öljaren

A full day of running at Julita gård in Sörmland, from a backyard race that starts in the dark at six to a national duathlon championship in the afternoon.

Julita Loppet is held on Saturday 3 October 2026, with start and finish at Stora huset on the Julita gård estate, organised by Julita GoIF. The day opens at 06:00 with Skabbräven, twelve laps of 6.7 km in which every lap starts on the hour. At 10:00 comes Långa Julita Loppet over 10 km, and at 11:00 Korta Julita Loppet over 5 km. Children run Lilla Julita Loppet in between, and in the afternoon the Rävstafetten relay and Julita Duathlon take over the same grounds.

The 5 km and 10 km share one loop: through the estate park, out along Munkleden by Lake Öljaren, past Julita church and Julita school, and back to the house. The 5 km runs it once, the 10 km twice. Parts of it follow narrow trails where passing is hard, and the organiser sets no official time limit. There is one drinks station on the course, and starts are capped at 150 on the 10 km and 100 on the 5 km. The 2025 course records stand at 35:58 for men and 44:38 for women.

Anyone waiting at Stora huset sees their runner disappear into the park and little else until the final straight. With Livebib, the runner shares a link to their own broadcast and family open it in a browser, with no account and no app: their position on the course line by Öljaren, the distance covered, and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes on. If the phone loses signal under the trees, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated rather than freezing. The runner decides who gets the link.
