The 42K starts at the bottom of the medieval town of Motovun, climbs up through it, and heads for Grožnjan, the second medieval town on the way, before merging with the other courses all the way to the seafront in Umag. The organiser describes steep climbs and descents, wide paths, intact single track and hill towns.

The race stats give 1,000 m of climbing. The overview on the same page gives an elevation difference of 1,153 m. The organiser presents it as a race for people new to trail running and says the trail is not very challenging. It is a UTMB World Series 50K race worth 2 Running Stones, and the 8-hour limit means the course closes at 20:00.

A noon start means friends can watch the first climb into Motovun and still be in Umag for the finish. On Livebib the runner shares one link.
