Hong Kong Marathon, live.

Hong Kong Marathon on 17 January 2027. Marathon from Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui to Victoria Park, plus a half and a 10 km.

Victoria Park, Hong Kong · January 17, 2027

From Nathan Road to Victoria Park

The Hong Kong Marathon is the city's biggest running event, with 78,000 places across the marathon, the half marathon and the 10 km.

The 2027 Hong Kong Marathon is on Sunday 17 January. The Marathon Challenge starts at 6:00 on Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui and finishes at Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island, with a time limit of 6 hours. The half marathon and 10 km challenge races both start at 5:30.

The quotas are 18,000 for the marathon, 29,000 for the half marathon and 31,000 for the 10 km, which makes 78,000 places in total. Demand is far higher than that, with more than 140,000 registrations.

The marathon runs from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island, a way of seeing the city that very few people ever get on foot. Steady pacing pays off on a long morning in the city.

The race was first held in 1997 and is organised by the Hong Kong, China Association of Athletics Affiliates. Victoria Park has been the finish since 2008, and the last stretch towards it is where spectators can cheer runners home.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Hong Kong Marathon.
