Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja, live.

From Bardufoss to the gateway to Senja

The final race of the Ski Classics season: 60 km of classic skiing across inland Troms, down to the coast at Finnsnes.

Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja is skied on Sunday 4 April 2027, the last day of the Pro Tour’s final weekend on 3-4 April. It is Ski Classics World Championship Event 15 and closes Season XVIII. The course is 60 km in classic technique from Bardufoss to Finnsnes, which Ski Classics calls the gateway to the island of Senja. The men start at 09:00 and the women at 09:05. Ski Classics introduced the Grand Finale to conclude Season XV, and this race is expected to settle the season’s Yellow, Green, Pink and Climb bibs.

Ski Classics describes the course as demanding inland terrain followed by a descent toward the coast, through high-mountain scenery. It publishes no climb names or heights on the race page. Beside the Pro Teams, up to 250 places go to recreational skiers, but not to anyone: to qualify, a skier must have finished one Pro Tour race or two Challengers events during Season XVIII, within the winner’s time plus 50 per cent for their gender. Qualifiers receive a Grand Finale coin in their SC MyPages account, which opens registration.

A point-to-point race over open inland terrain leaves family at the finish in Finnsnes with little to go on until the skier comes down to the coast. On Livebib a skier in the open field shares a link to their own broadcast, and family and friends open it in a browser, no app or account needed, to see the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Where the phone loses signal in the hills, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated instead of freezing. The skier decides who gets the link.
